The lenght of flare ups are different for the individual. But stress can definitely bring them on.

Your flare up can last forever if you don't catch and treat it. Flare ups usually are the same symptoms that you first presented with when you originally got sick so watch for those. I have had lupus for 7 years and have not had a flare up. I may never have a flare up but that is unlikely. It could be many years before you have a flare up. So don't dwell on it, live your life without worrying about this lupus crap. Just remember to wear sunblock at least spf 30 as often as possible, keep stress out of your life as much as possible... haha. ;) Good luck! If you have any other questions about lupus, I will do my best.

My mom has lupus and her flare ups last several weeks. She is always under stress so its hard to say if it brings them on but since your immune system is affected by stress I would say stress doesnt help.
