Three days ago I ate some British food. After a day of puking and two more of extreme nausia I'm starting to feel normal.

Why did it take 3 - 4 days? Is there any way of speeding up the healing process?

Since most food poisonings are viral in nature, there is no way of speeding up the healing process..it has to run its course. Other causes are bacterial, parasitic, and toxic which usually last long enough and are severe enough to require medical treatment.

However, you can try to minimize the symptoms by:
avoiding solid foods while nauseated or if vomiting
drink lots of fluids
do not gulp or guzzle but sip frequently
clear fluids only (anything you can see through)
avoid alcohol, caffeine and sugar drinks
if drinking gatorade or poweade, dilute it to avoid diarrhea

Anytime the symptoms last longer than 2 days, medical attention should be sought! This is because usually food poisoning runs its course in 24 to 48 hours. Other times to see a doctor are:
abdominal pain with fever
if sick person is under 3 years of age
if during or after foreign travel
family members or friends who had the same food/beverage are also sick
you can't keep anything down (not even sips)
muscle weakness
slurred speech
visual issues

foodstuff poisoning would not take place immediately. It probable isn't foodstuff poisoning, purely an dissatisfied abdomen. What grew to become into it he ate, how earlier, does he sense extra effective now? Edit: do no longer take coloidial silver. that's ineffective at superb and can reason intense problems with specific human beings.
