Does anyone out there know how I can contact Paul McKenna to get a one on one consultation for a relative of mine who is in serious trouble suffering with Body Dismorphia. This honestly is becoming a life and death situation. I know you will say, he should see a Phychiatrist, but he won't.This condition has now gone on for l5 years, with terrible consequences both to him and his whole family.
He's suffering from severe Manic depression because of this condition and this is the last resort. One which I think he might consider. PLEASE this is a very serious question so no jokers.Thanks.

I know someone in a hospice whose liver has completely failed and now has pnemonia. She can still get up and go out in a wheelchair for her cigarette. She is in alot of pain and is confused from the disease or painkillers. Would you say the end is very near?

The past three weeks or so, I have been having dizzy spells when I stand up after sitting for a while, or when I am playing my French horn. This is becoming problematic, as I have begun blacking out from time to time in rehearsals. Do you have any recommendations?

My friend says he thinks he has a mild case of Carpal Tunnel. I asked if it tingles and he says no. So I don't think that's the case.

He says after he has lifted something, it has spasmed a few times. He also says he can't lift like he used to and it's been like that for a while. At times it hurts a lot. It depends on if he's done a lot of work. He has a wrist support.

He can't go to the doctor yet because he doesn't have insurance. He will next month though.

So in the meantime, what do you think the problem is?

I think something is wrong with my liver and I think it is because of the medecations. I am on several medecine for ADHD, Bipolar, depression, anxiety, OCD, and Migraines.

My medecines that I have been on in the past include Pazil, Prozac, Adderall, Buspar, The medecines I am on now are I am on Topamax, Lamictal, Macrobid, Focalin, Aterex,( I cant remember), Presidone, Vicodin7.5. I know this is a lot of medecines. Some of them that I am on are for a UTI. The reason I think I have a liver problem is because of family history, medecines, I am 21 with these probs, and when I drink even a wine cooler my chest hurts, It hurts all the way up to my arm. I feel like I am having a heart attack. I dont drink that much.

Can anyone relate? I know I have been on more meds in my life for several reason but I am very concerned.

The reason I am on so many is because of the Bipolar. I had a breakdown this week and went off the "deep-end" and they put me on some meds to try to help me.

I am sure there are several of you out there that have experienced the discomfort of passing kidney stones. I am a woman and just had a very bad bladder infection. The next thing I knew I passed a stone. I feel much better now, but i can tell you that was more painful the labor pains. I was just wondering if you usually pass more? I was told that usually you dont stop at just one. How much time usually passes between stones. Could I be expecting to start hurting again soon.
Please tell me what you know about your own personal experiences with these terrible things!!!

My mom is diabetic. She eats A LOT of sweets, starches and actually seems disappointed when her blood sugar is in the normal range!

I'm curious... what would some folks who have diabetes feel when their blood sugar is really high? Do they feel different? what are the side effects of eating badly and having the high blood sugar readings?

I've always thought that insulin is to be measured according to what a diabetic eats and the blood sugar reading, NOT what they're GOING to eat and (not) adjusting insulin as a precautionary bandaid! <<- my mother does that and my father and I can't get it through to her that she shouldn't take chances like that. She REALLY likes it when her blood sugar is in the high 300's! What is considered extremely dangerous? To me 300 sounds dangerous! My mom doesn't seem the least bit worried about it.

I want to talk with her dr, because I'm concerned, but not sure if it's my place to?

Thank you in advance for reading this and your help! :)

I posted this in another section already. One more try for a few more responses. Thanks!

I have been in the ER three times in the past 6 days. The initial thought was meningitis, but after a clear spinal tap I was sent home. I have since returned for extreme headaches twice, finally treated with a blood patch last night.

current symptoms:
hot flashes
low grade fever
nausea
lack of appetite
headaches (self-treated by 400 mg of caffeine as needed and up to 800 mg ibupofen--afraid they will be as extreme as before--trying to prevent)
fatigue
stiff neck (not severe though)
extreme back pain (from epidural)
recently finished an antibiotic for a sinus infection (2 days before initial ER visit)
BP was 103/36 yesterday
Pulse was 47
moderate sensitivity to light and noise
irritablity
weight 110
height 5'9"

Initial symptoms included:
chills
fever
sensitivity to light and noise
nausea with severe vomiting

Likely to call doc in the morning.

Im 18 years old, and last night i had taken a shower and like a few times my ears had gotten plugged from water which i try not to do, but it happened...i felt fine, but i woke up with my right ear feelilng like something was blocking it. when i tilt my head to the side the ear is plugged i can hear better and when i pull up on my ear i can hear better. I have no pain, maybe just a little pain, but not bad. Is it just water, or an infection?

I suspect that's what I have on the lower side of my middle finger near the knuckle. Possibly from repetitive mouse clicking.

What worries me is that the cyst is dark in color (bluish) rather than clear, and my knuckle hurts like I have arthritis. It has grown noticeably within a week.

Help! I will make a doctors appointment tomorrow, but I'm hoping for some peace of mind in the meantime.

My son is 6. He's had a few episodes where he says he doesn't feel good and then he passes out, heart rate drops, breathing very shallow, shows signs of possible seizure, loss of bladder. He's had an EKG and saw a Ped. Cardiologist at Children's in Denver. Dr. suggests we look into the neurological aspect as most that pass out due to heart cond. do not lose control of bladder. History of heart conditions in family, but other then a Stills Murmur, Dr. said seems o.k. We've had an EEG done at our local hospital and the results came back stating all was fine, although complete testing was not able to be done. We're trying to get appt. with Neurology at Children's to look into this further. During all of these episodes, he's had a chronic cough with no other symptoms. Cough lasted about 2 mnths. On cough medicine but none containing Phenylpropanolamine. Has taken meds containing Dextromethorphan, Guaifenesin & Phenylephrine. Webmd states seizures possible with these. Anyone have more info?

Hi All,
At workplace we have a safe that holds microfilm. The safe is around 20 years old. Someone just told us that he thinks there is asbestos on it and now there will be an inspection.

I have been using the safe almost daily for the past 2 years. if it turns out to be asbestos, should i be worried?

Would it affected me with that amount of exposure? What sort of symptoms should i look for?

Any advice is appreciated. Thank you
