I am sure there are several of you out there that have experienced the discomfort of passing kidney stones. I am a woman and just had a very bad bladder infection. The next thing I knew I passed a stone. I feel much better now, but i can tell you that was more painful the labor pains. I was just wondering if you usually pass more? I was told that usually you dont stop at just one. How much time usually passes between stones. Could I be expecting to start hurting again soon.
Please tell me what you know about your own personal experiences with these terrible things!!!

Have you been to a urologist? You need to find out what is causing the stones.
I will tell you. I had a stone about a month ago. I ended up in the hospital with it. It was the worst pain I've ever felt. When they did the x-ray and the ct-scan, they found multiple stones in both kidneys. I have passed 2 more stones, but I have continued to hurt the whole time. It is not a continuous pain, but it will ache and sometimes feel like someone is stabbing me or beating me with a baseball bat. The best thing I've found for the pain is percoset.....
I hope you see a urologist. They drew lots of blood and I had to collect all my urine for 48 housr and keep it refrigerated until I got it back. They send it off for analysis to see why I am making them.
I hope my information helps!!!!

I had a case of Kidney stone about 20 yrs ago and i had not have any problems since thank God,However one evening I felt the pinch associated with it and i went ot the store and bought a gallon of cranberry cocktail juice and drank at least half a gallon right in the parking lot of the store and the pinch went away. The doctor told me to stay away from coffee and soda pops or things that contain caramel.sesame seed burger buns

Hubby only passes one at a time and then has no more until his next flare up. You may never get another kidney stone but only time will tell. I do hope you saved the stone and took it to your docs lab to have it analzyed so they know what might have caused it.
