ok, ive never had an ear infection in my entire lifetime. Im 18 years old, and last night i had taken a shower and like a few times my ears had gotten plugged from water which i try not to do, but it happened...i felt fine, but i woke up with my right ear feelilng like something was blocking it. when i tilt my head to the side the ear is plugged i can hear better and when i pull up on my ear i can hear better. I have no pain, maybe just a little pain, but not bad. Is it just water, or an infection?

It is too early for an infection. Probably just water on the ear. You can try sleeping on a warm cloth tonight. If it still feels strange you might want to check with doctor. No need for an ER visit unless it really starts to hurt really bad.

Sounds like water in the ear or you have congestion. Use Sudafed for congestion and buy some swimmers ear drops. If it isn't better after using these two products for a couple of days then see the doc.

It's probably just water, dried up ear wax. Try to get it out with a q-tip, or if not there are eardrops for this sort of thing, but if theres no pain, its probably not an ear infection. Although if you don't clean your ear, it might lead to one.

get over the counter ear dry and if this does not make it better go see your doc and make sure. My husband had the same thing only he did not complain to me so I didnt know it was bothering him and the water left on his ear caused a severe infection including a tip to the emergency room. sounds like a good dose of water on your ear tho.

Could be just some water in your ear, it will go away in a few days.
However should it start hurting or you feel dizzy when you look up suddenly, you need to see a doctor because it can affect your equilibrium.

it may be a start of an infection. the only way you can really know you have an infection is if you get some medical ]treatment or if you wait. usually these infections come with a yellow substance you body makes and is hardened around your ear. usually its crusty just so u know

Infections are usually painful. I'm not a doctor, if you have any doubts you should see one, but in my humble opinion i think it's water blockage
