I had carpal tunnel in my left hand and had the release surgery five years ago on it. It was the best thing I ever did. All the pain, numbness, and tingling went away. Now I can use my hand all I want and am pain free. I get my right hand done tomorrow and I'm not worried in the least. My brother had both his done about nine months ago, each hand was done four months apart, he's well pleased with the results as well. HAVE THE SURGERY. You can wear the splint and it may provide a little relief by limiting your movement. But if you have the surgery, you take care of the problem once and for all then you can use your hand fully instead of having limited movement by wearing the splint. Good luck!

You can try physiotherapy; steroid injections; but the best result is obtained from surgery. Carpal tunnel surgery will not work only if done wrongly by the wrong doctor. Consult an orthopedic surgeon.

Carpal tunnel syndrome is swelling in the carpal tunnel. i do not imagine it has to do with age. i guess i'd nicely be incorrect. If I were you inspite of the actuality that i'd see a rub down therapist experienced in harm (activities) rub down. they're experienced to handle many forms of damage, including harm in the wrists. they could be able that could actually help you. i am hoping that enables and robust success!
