The past three weeks or so, I have been having dizzy spells when I stand up after sitting for a while, or when I am playing my French horn. This is becoming problematic, as I have begun blacking out from time to time in rehearsals. Do you have any recommendations?

I too experience the same symptoms. I have had low-blood pressure all my life, and this is often the cause of it. However, it could be what these other people said- low blood sugar, iron deficency etc. You should def see a doctor though, they can run a few tests and fix you right up.

Sounds like a medical problem. The only time I've felt dizzy playing the horn was immediately after coming back from a long run and when I had a mild concussion after a car accident.

You're blowing your French horn ? How rude. I'm not surprised you're getting head rushes. My dalmation, Robert, tries to do it regularly and passes out soon afterwards but he's a dumb animal. Anyway, I think you're in the wrong section. You can post anonymously in the masturbation and bestiality section. You dirty b*stard !!

I like your style but there's no need to be shy on here; you can anonymously post in the narcotics section.

How many times each day do you "play the French horn?" (wink, wink).

Maybe you should consider lowering the dose and "blowing the trumpet" instead for a while. The "French horn" is a big "instrument".

Also, don't forget that "playing raggae on the French horn" can have "uplifting" effects due to its "contemporary style", however this "sweet music to your ears" often contains "outside influences" that carry side effects such as dizzy spells and disorientation. Consider going "oriental" or changing section entirely and giving "woodwind" a chance. The high is more contained but the comedown is easier to handle.

Your iron may be low. Try taking some iron pills. If this continues I would recommend seeing a doctor, especially if you are getting them often and they last a long time

This could be a blood sugar problem or low blood pressure.
