There are minor muscles there. The best solution is to get a physical and ask your doctor. If not possible try to see what actions you took prior to the sensation. If you exerted yourself before, relax for a day, and do warm up exercises by moving your upper body left and right.
*Remember consult a professional when doubtful.

Yes, there are muscles just about everywhere. On the sides of the abdomen are the obliques.
Use moist heat alternated with ice packs to relieve a torn muscle. Do NOT use a dry heating pad. It causes the blood to pool in that area and foster inflammation. Use the moist heat and ice alternately for 10 minutes each.
Also consider that the area you are describing is in the vicinity of the liver and gall bladder. If you get no relief from the muscle treatment within a couple of days, consider seeing a Dr. of Internal Medicine to have liver/gall bladder checked.

I hope this helps,

The Subclavius (Fig. 411) is a small triangular muscle, placed between the clavicle and the first rib. It arises by a short, thick tendon from the first rib and its cartilage at their junction, in front of the costoclavicular ligament; the fleshy fibers proceed obliquely upward and lateralward, to be inserted into the groove on the under surface of the clavicle between the costoclavicular and conoid ligaments.

Sounds like you've pulled your abdominals, possibly your transverse abdoms.

You should see how it goes for a few days, but if the pain is really bad or persistant then go consult your GP.
