Well my son has been on an ongoing staph infection for about 4 months. He took the augmentin and it did come back. I now after many prescriptions see some major improvement. He's on Omnicef( the strongest antibiotic they will prescribe for a child) and an ointment called Bactroban. I hope this will knock it out. But please dont give your child something that wasnt prescribed to him It could be dangerous. Didnt the pediatrician prescribe something for him? Anyways, just make sure you disinfect everything he has touched. His sheets and blankets should all be washed in hot water. The best thing to do is also wash him antibacterial soap like Dial. Good luck and I hope you dont have to go through this as long as I have.

This is a question you should be asking your doctor. If you have Augmention on hand from a previous infection, they should be discarded. Go see your doctor for a new prescription. To answer your question - Augmention is a broad spectrum antibiotic and should cover a staph infection. But it should not be taken without a doctor's advice. This is why we have these MEGA bugs that do not respond to any antibiotic because people indiscriminately use antibiotics.

Dont know, but oil of oregano will wipe out that staph infection for sure, and topically apply colloidal silver (low PPH will do).
You can get these items from a health food store.
Im not familiar with the stuff you mentioned

Didn't the doctor prescribe anything? Shouldn't you be asking HIM or HER this question?
