I was prescribed Amitriptyline after 8 months of constant stomach pain. I had taken prilosec, nexium, and a pri-pack for the pain. I was diagnosed with H-Pylori, and treated for it. But the pain went away for a short time(about a month) and then came back again, which is why they prescribed it. I guess my question is, is this a common prescription for stomach pain? I am trying to learn more about it but i would like to know if others have had this problem. Also, i heard it was an anti-depressant.. could i become depressed when i dont have to take it anymore? sorry if this is confusing, i am just tyring to learn more, thanks for any help!!!

I was on Paxil 20 mg for a year, felt better emotionaly - calmer, more patient, but gained 20 pounds, was yawning, if not sleeping most of the time, and was unable to climax, even though had desire. Plain horrible.

I come from a LONG line of family with gallbladder issues. Both of my parents, and all my aunts and uncles on both sides have had theirs removed, most at young ages.

I have been having symptoms that are identical to a gallbladder attack. Everything from what I ate before I had the pains (greasy foods, high fat foods, etc.), to the gas, constipation or diahrea (haven't had a normal bowel movement for over 3 weeks), pains in my back and front abdomen. However, the "sensitivity to the touch" is more on my LEFT side than my right.

I'm 99.5% sure it's my gallbladder, and I'm going to the doctor on Monday, I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem so I don't sound like a complete moron when I go in there to talk to the doctor. My parents thought that they had issues on their LEFT side, but it's been almost 30 years for both of them...so they can't remember everything.

Any answers or personal experiences are appreciated!!! Thanks ahead of time.

I have been dating a 39 y/o guy for 3 months. While at his house the other day I found a biopsy report laying on his floor. It was for a brain tumor that he had been diagnosed with 3 years ago. Brain tumors are not very curable and often recur in 3-5 years.

He is very emotional and I guess this would explain a lot. I would have to believe that he wonders how to tell me the news. He may have a minimum number of years to live.

Do I act like I don't know? Should I tell him that I saw the report? I do not feel that running is an option, as I just do not see that as a morally proper thing to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! This has been tearing me apart, crying every night. I am also 39 y/o.

Also, can dehydration affect kidney/ haemoglobin/ thyroid results? (Not my daughter.)

I wear glasses but still my eyes feel like they're straining...they hurt a lot and it seems to be when i focus on something.
i had another eye test last week and they said in my new prescription they will insert a 'prism' as there is something wrong with the balance of my left eye?
I also regularly get headaches especially when i wake up?
Sometimes when i close my eyes to go to sleep my eyes feel like they are straining to get out!! (haha) What could this be?
Thanks :-)

My 4 years old son is suffering from convulsion for 2 years at first he was not responded to sodium valporate and his doctor recomend 1.25 of Tegretol CR 200mg in 2 doses morning and night. He has not had convulsion but he is often nervous and angry without reason. His doctor says you should behave him in the manner so that he gets calm. but it is often useless. if you had any experience about this problem please guide me. Thanks.
