Hello,

I had severe pain in my stomach for 2 days last month.I went to a gastro and he did a endoscopy and scan and said it was a healing ulcer and prescribed rabeprazole for 15 days.I had relief with that.Now today morning I had black mucous like stools.i am worried If I have a bleeding ulcer.I didn't have food which can cause blcak color yesterday.I don't have pain in stomach but occasional hunger pangs which gets ok with eating food.i have also developed rashes over my arms.Is it something like cancer.i am really worried.I am 23 years old and am really worried.

You really need to contact your physician who may have ordered the endoscopy or call this physician back who did it and report this. No foods that I know of cause black stools. It's a possibility that the medicine you drank for the test may cause it as it's leaving your body, but that is also unllikely.

If you don't get satisfactory answers from either doctor, seek a second opinion. Most insurance plans pay for them.

Get back to your Gastro. I had a bleeding ulcer and needed surgery. Don't ignore it. You'll end up in the ER.

Black stools indicate bleeding so you need to see your doc ASAP. Call and ask for an emergency appointment and get checked out.

no its not necessary its ulcer due to sonme change in nervous system by doing excercise it happens so u must not be worried and start yoga slowlky slowly
