There are places that do actual sleep studys.Your doctor should be able to recommend a "sleep lab".I had to go through this same thing for sleep apnea. The bedroom at the lab is made to look like a regular bedroom.(instead of a hospital room) You are hooked up to all kinds of gadgets that will monitor your sleep habits. They check your heart rate, breathing etc.
Are you a caffeinne drinker/user??? Sodas, coffee, chocolate, etc?? If so, i would suggest that you not drink anything with caffeinne anytime after noon.
Good Luck!!

Go to your General Practitioner and they can recommend a sleep program for you to enter. My husband went to the Sleep Disorder department in the local hospital.

See your regular medical doctor first. He or she can refer you to a specialist.

In the short term, you could visit your local GP and ask them to temporarily prescribe sleeping tablets. They may well refer you onto someone specifically. :) Good luck.
