My 4 years old son is suffering from convulsion for 2 years at first he was not responded to sodium valporate and his doctor recomend 1.25 of Tegretol CR 200mg in 2 doses morning and night. He has not had convulsion but he is often nervous and angry without reason. His doctor says you should behave him in the manner so that he gets calm. but it is often useless. if you had any experience about this problem please guide me. Thanks.

I would take him to a doctor who knows about food/chemical allergy/sensitivity. Google Theron Randolph and read about his findings. You will be amazed.

he should be free of convulsions for three years. Only then is the drug to be tapered off.
