My Dr prescribed Levbid, which confuses me b/c some of the side effects are constipation and bloating which are my biggest complaints to start with. Curious what other med's are being used succesfully.

I have recently been diagnosed with mild scoliosis. I would like to know your experiences. What caused it? What medication and exercise have you been doing? What are you not allowed to do? How has it affected your daily life so far?

I've had it pierced for 8 years and I just don't want it anymore. Will there alway be a hole or will it close up after a while? I'm figuring there will be a nice scar there.

I was taking 80 mg of Prednisone for 5 days (no weaning), and then 10 mg of Decadron for 2 days (again, no weaning), and tonight -- the first night off both medications -- I'm having chest pain and palpitations. Is this normal or dangerous? I'm otherwise pretty healthy (or at least as far as heart concerns go anyway), but my chest is in a lot of pain and I'm afraid that I'm going to have a heart attack or something! It's making me anxious too, which is only adding to the problems. Please help! I'm normal weight and in my late teens. I was on the steroids for asthma and airway swelling. I'm also taking Zanaflex for a spinal injury, which makes me drowsy -- that seems to slow my heart rate down, so would that be good to take or dangerous? Thank you so much for help A.S.A.P.!

I went to the Ophthalmologist and I got prescription glasses. I can see very well without glasses even go without them but I can't see that far because I have Myopia. I don't use my glasses that much. Only in school because I can't really see the board even if I sit close to the board (about 3 and a half yds away). But it makes my eyes hurt because I adjust to them then I remove them because I only need them for certain classes. Is it healthy to take glasses off and on constantly? Am I leaving them on too long? Is it best to leave them on 24/7?

My mother does that a lot but she never had this problem.....

Since 23 I've been having a nightmare rollercoaster with my health. Endo has found I have addison's disease, diabetes insipidus, hypothyroid, hypogonadism, and we still don't know the cause or if it will get worse. I also have cramps and sore muscles days after I use them. Very little and slow muscle recovery keep me off my feet and unable to even walk on the treadmill for now.

Well I was in need to move out soon and get on my own, also getting plans to get married soon(yeah, wonderful timing..).

I simply do not have a steady schedule due to my health issues, and I was looking into Disability.. how could I survive on disability?

I doubt it will be much, but I just want to know my options.. and if I take it, pray like hell it will be temporary..

My girlfriend says her kidney hurts and her mom says it's because she drinks too much water (that's all she drinks really...literally).

Is it really possible to have TOO much?

Not quite sure how many cups a day she drinks.

Have a quick question for you guys. I was in a store today looking at something on a counter, when I noticed a guy walking behing me. The side of his face, his cheek to be more precise, grazed the back of my head, as i felt my hair move. I looked, and the side of his cheek had blood on it, like a scab but it also looked fresh. Do I have anything to worry about? Is it possible that, if the man had HIV and let's assume he does, the blood from his face could rub off and stick in my hair? Will it bond with the hair? Will taking a simple shower rise it out, or do I need to cut out the part that was touched, or get a haircut all together? Please help, I am freaking out.
Thanks

My son has CMV (which causes all sorts of health problems). He is 2 years old, weighs 20 lbs. and has a feeding tube. He is unable to eat by mouth, although takes a bottle. His only source of nutrition right now is Pedisure, which has been recommended by his doctors, but he is still not gaining weight. Any ideas?

I have Hypothyroidism and just recently found out that I havent been taking the correct dosage of medication and my levels are severly low. I am a singer, and I have noticed over the past few months that I dont have the vocal range I used to. I was reading somewhere that this could be contributed to my hypothyroidism. I was wondering if by taking the correct dosage of medication, if I will be able to gain that range again or if it is permanently damaged?

I get severe sinus headaches and I've had surgery once and it didn't help. I've heard other people who had the surgery and it didn't help them either. I'm trying to decide if it's worth going through a 2nd surgery.
