my 70 year old mother in law was diagnosed with cirrhosis all her brothers and sisters died with same. How long does she have to live? doctors say the liver has stopped working and she's losing alot of weight. they had her abdomen fluid removed and ended up in her lungs and she had respitory infection and her urine is a dark color. sometimes its blood in the urine. which I think is her kidneys.
how long can she live because doctors say there is no cure and they're simply treating her to comfort her. She never had symtoms only few moths ago swollen ankles, confusion and forgeting things, swollen abdomen(she looked like she was 5 months pregnant) also right side pain and loss of appetitte, unble to urinate, hard time breathing. How did this come so suddenly??

I have used loads of e and coke and drink a lot but I have not taken e for a year. Anyway a year ago I got a headache which stopped me taking e but it never went away altogether. I used to be able to feel my jaw clench too. The symptoms seem to be getting better but I am worried it might be something more serious. I have an occasional eye twitch and sometimes a finger on my right hand moves. I am 22 and not going to take anything else and cut down alcohol. Worried it might be MS?

A couple of weeks ago I fell and pulled a muscle in my left leg. I have type 2 Diabetes and so I am aware that because of that injuries and illnesses take a longer time to recuperate from My Diabetes is under control. But this is just a pulled muscle. So I am baffled as to why this is taking longer than normal. Can somebody give me a clue?

i recently had my child immunized (5 needle pokes), before she started i asked the nurse why she was not wearing gloves, she said there is NO risk to my child or other children. the only one at risk was for her if she had a cut ! makes you wonder! what if there is still blood on her fingertips from the previuos child when she removes cotton ball to apply bandage on my child? could there be enough blood there to pass a disease through a fresh needle poke? my gp says there is a slim to none chance of passing any disease. i think that is a load of B.S. he says "with flu shot clinics of 1000 people, that's a new pair of gloves per patient (1000 pairs)! like the cost of the gloves was his concern. gp says there has never been a problem of this type.if you have been to a flu shot clinic, were the healthcare workers wearing/changing gloves or washing hands between each patient? do you know anybody who has caught a disease in this way? are gloves a must where you live?

My symptoms are burning pain in my elbows that lead down to my hands. If I lift something over ten pounds, I'm left with cramping and weakness in my hands. The burning sensation will come back or it will feel like I have open cuts underneath my skin. My hands will be a little swollen and I'll have hot spots. The area that is most effected is my elbows and wrists along with my hands. It will feel like a track is running down the inside of my arms that lead to the palm of my hands. That feeling wraps around my wrists and elbows. The last two fingers on each hand seem to be effect my my symptoms. They can hurt or I feel a tingling sensation. I've been dealing with alot of different sensations for almost two years now.

I'm desperate for answers to what I may have. For a month now, I have been sufferering from joint pain so severe it hurts to walk, swollen lymph nodes in my underarms that have gorwn to be 4 1/2 cm above the skin, fatigue, headaches, sore throat, sudden hypervenilation that just happens (I have nothing to panic over) and, the most bizarre symptom of all, brief periods of spotted vision followed by a few seconds of 'blindness' (I don't black out, but I fall down and get really dizzy when this happens). I've been tested for mono, lyme disease, catsratch fever, strep throat, and a multitude of other tests that all come back negative. The three doctors I've been to are stumped. Whatever I have is really getting into my life--I can't go to school and it's hard to even get out of bed. I'm only thirteen, but I feel as if I'm an old person. What could I have? Has anyone ever had thses symtpms?

I have trigeminal neuralgia, an agonising condition involving pressure on a nerve in my face. I am on epilepsy drugs but am tired and forgetful and still in pain. I really feel my life, which until last year was perfectly happy, isn't worth living. I have no idea why I suddenly got this. I am only 25. It first occured at quite a stressful time. I have also had root canal treatment on the same side of my face. Of course the dentist denies all involvement, but I can't help thinking this could have triggered it. Any ideas? Or remedies?
