About four weeks ago, I came down with this illness. It started with a swollen, painful (right) underarm. Six days later, all my joints hurt. Since then, it's gotten worse. It's hard to walk, to type this question, to breath even! I've been to the doctor's about ten times since I've gotten sick and Have been tested for nearly everything you could possibley think of. My other symptoms include: Fatigue, headaches, and this strange nausea that I get after I eat (if I don't eat, I get really hungry. If I do eat, I get sick. Once the nausea goes away after about an hour, I feel really hungry again. I don't over eat either). I have a couple of unexplained bruises too. I'm also thirteen, if that makes a difference. So what could I have? Has anyone ever had anything like it?

I was diagnosed with thrush, treated with Nystatin and my doc said I was OK.

I think I might have had a re-occurance. But my symptoms seem to come and go throughout the day. Can that happen with thrush?

Also, can thrush be temporarily washed off when you drink fluids, or does it take scraping to do that?

My mother in law is 51 years old and has a acoustic neuroma brain tumour. For many years she has suffered reoccuring shingles & chicken pox alternating. One time she has chicken pox then the nest time its shingles. She was sent for a brain scan 7 years ago and that was when they discovered the tumour which up to now has been monitored by scans and has not grown. My question is that is there any long term cure or solution for her chicken pox/shingles??? Some years she gets them 4 times and it is dehabilitating even with antiviral meds. Any advice massively appreciated.

Does anyone know where I could get some good information about problems with the Lymph system? I had glandular fever a year ago and have been recomended that i get my Lymph system checked out as I have re-occuring colds, coughs, sore throats, my glands keep becoming swollen, and i generally feel unwell.
I will go to the doctors with it but my doctor seems to be a hyperchondriac ( i go to see him as i had a migraine, never had one before and within 10 mins i was in hospital cos he thort i had a clot on my brain!), and I'd like some information regarding the subject before i go.

Thanks xx

I have a friend’s whose adult daughter has been diagnosed with Lupus. She would like to know what to expect. We know that it is something that isn’t very predictable or typical but I am looking for what is “most” typical from most patients and what usually happens over the next 20 years or so. Right now only her joints are affected and she is able to work just fine. She isn’t in much pain but more of what she would describe as “disfomfort occasionally.” They just put her on medication (immunosuppressive) that didn’t work and have added a more powerful med (Imuran) that may make her sick. She was diagnosed with: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)

I know that's not much information. I had my son see his doctor today because he is getting pin point bruises that are unexplainable. They did blood work on him to check for a blood disorder. The doctor told me the name of the disorder that she thought it might be, but there was a lot on my mind and I can't remember the name of it. I wanted to do some research on it before I get the results, just to be prepared.

Not sure if this matters, but my son is three.

for some time now, my legs have been swollen. its usually from the ankle to the knee. My leg feels really tight, but no pain, and im not swollen anywhere else. Someone told me it might be that I eat too much salt, dont drink enough water and they gave me a few other reasons. But im not too sure, and if anyone knows a real good way to get rid of the swelling that would be awesome too!! thanks!
