I know that's not much information. I had my son see his doctor today because he is getting pin point bruises that are unexplainable. They did blood work on him to check for a blood disorder. The doctor told me the name of the disorder that she thought it might be, but there was a lot on my mind and I can't remember the name of it. I wanted to do some research on it before I get the results, just to be prepared.

Not sure if this matters, but my son is three.

I also forgot to include that the doctor said that they were looking for his platlet count, so if he has a low count then that would be a positive result for that particular disease.

Could also be petechial rashes (which is an indication of low platelet count and one sign of Dengue). Hope this helps. God bless

I guess what you are looking for is Purpura. which only indicates the pin point bruising. is a symptom not a disorder.
the is something that's called Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic which basically is a disorder of the platlets of unknown origin.
here is more info: http://www.webmd.com/hw/anemia/nord258.asp

please also consider that this can be just a side symptom for something else. drug interaction, infection, auto immune disorder, or many more..

hope it helps and good luck
