i absoloutely dread strep test, and now i have the worst sore throat i've ever had. It is so swollen my neck actually looks bigger. And I almost can't swallow. The last thing i can even think about is a strep test, so if you know anything that i could do instead, even a blood test, please let me know. And if i do have to get it, is there anything i can do before hand to ease the pain?

When I was 30 weeks and then again on my due date my vision was blurred only on the left side that lasted for about 45 min. During this time my thumb and index finger went numb and it slowly spread from my fingers and up my arm. Till eventually my face fell slightly numb. (Like when you've had too much to drink) I had a CAT scan(by the time I got there the symptoms were gone.)They found only a low flow of blood in the vein in my sinus passage. Which I was told it could not have caused my syptoms.
The last time it happened (on my due date) They told me to go home I was having a maigraine and the numbness was from baby pressure. I had no headache, and wouldn't I have been Numb ALL the time because I was 40 wks?!
Any answers? Can you have a migraine without a headache?! With a mini stroke there would be no brain damage visable on a CT right?!

I recently moved, and my blood pressure monitor is no longer working. Before I moved my doctor told me I had high blood pressure. I do not have a new doctor and cannot afford one at the moment. Is there anywhere I can order a free blood pressure monitor? Thank you.

I have had a lump right behind my left ear for about 2 years. Gradly over the last 6 months it has gotten bigger. About three weeks ago, my ear starting hurting along with my head and the back of my neck, I have also had the feeling of a lump in my throat off and on, sometimes I have a hard time breathing. I went to the doc, he said I have an ear infection and a swollen lymph node and put me on antibiotics. The only thing that has changed is my ear feels a little better. (I get probably 2 - 5 ear infections a year and I had them a lot when I was younger) What should I do now?

I was told two years ago that I have a kidney stone in my right and my left kidney. Just got back from the hospital and they did a C T scan on me. The doctor told me that he did'nt find a stone on the left but I still feel a great deal of pain on my lower left side. The pain is still on my right side too. In a way I don't think he knows what he's talking about cause I told him that I still feel a lot of pain on the left side and he told me that the one on the left side had passed. How can it have passed if I still feel pain on the left side. I need help!!!!!!!!!!!!! What should I do?

I have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), and know the symptoms of it, but was recently asked what the thyroid does. I really didn't know. I thought it was sort of like a helper to all of the different hormones in the body - but I'm not sure.
