I was diagnosed with tonsilitis on new years eve,it lasted about a week,and now my throat is starting to get very sore again....will i have to get a tonsilectomy?

Im having the same problem. Got tonsilitis in July, then got it again a couple weeks ago, and the antibiotics helped it but now my tonsils are huge again and its somewhat difficult to swallow, Im getting a tonsilectomy in 3 weeks and you probably will have to also, see a Ears, Nose, Throat doctor to tell you if you need one

well you may to.. 2 out of 3 of my children got Tonsillitis often and You will feel a whole lot better if you would get them out.my kids now don't get sick as often as they did since there tonsils and adnoids was taken out.Good Luck and feel better soon.
