How dangerous/hard is it to operate on the "third ventricle" in the brain?

Concerns a condition call "onset adult hydrocephalus". Of course I am going to see a surgeon, but any answers from someone who knows? Perhaps someone who had this opperation.

It is dead center smack in the middle of the brain. Very bad place.

Isn't the ventricle in the heart? check medweb and the new england journal of medicine. peace!
