Can anybody give their own scoliosis account?

Question

I have recently been diagnosed with mild scoliosis. I would like to know your experiences. What caused it? What medication and exercise have you been doing? What are you not allowed to do? How has it affected your daily life so far?

my daughter is 14 and was diagnosed 2 years ago with a mild case and gets exrayed every years for it.They said if it gets any worse she would have to wear a brace but for 2 years it has not changed.Sitting straight up and not slouching is a good start to help your back.She coplins sometimes of her back hurting but thats about all .No real problems or nothing at this time that she can't do.

I was diagnosed with it when i was four years old and i am not sure what caused it. Well my experiences with having scoliosis was wearing back braces. Although, they did prevent the curve from getting worse, it was rather umcomfortable because I always was hot and smells kind of funny while wearing it. As far as medication, I only took medicine after my operation. I never did use psychical therapy excerises even though I am supposed to. I am not allowed to lift anything heavy and I certainly have to watch my weight. It affected my life because I have to watch my weight a lot or I would be in a lot of pain.

I was diagnosed with Scoliosis as a young child. I have basically had no problems. I have gone to the Chiropractor on a regular basis but nothing else. When I was in my 20's, the Chiropractor told me that the curvature in my spine is actually opposite of those of regular scoliosis patients. But I have had no real problems.
