are there special contacts for this condition? my plastic frames irritate my ears especially where the frames loop over my ears.

I think Emergency medicine is so cool, because its so broad and includes all aspects of medicine. but unfortunately, i dont know how strong my stomach would prove to be. any tips on how to inure myself to these things? i have no prob watching them, but sometimes i start to feel lightheaded/dizzy, what should i do to immune myself from this? i'm only a junior in HS btw. thanks everyone!

I was at my family doctor the other day because I currenlty have the stomach flu and while I was in there I went ahead and asked her about this large bump that popped up on the back of my neck about a year ago. She felt it and said that it could possibly be a cyst and that I should see a Ear Nose and Throat doctor about it. I also have another one that i'm very concerned about on my right arm. Does anybody know how I can tell whether or not it is a cyst and what type of doctor I should see? I had a surgery on my neck about 18 years ago as a young child because of a cyst in my neck which my parents were told by doctors that it was too long to remove entirely so they snipped it. Is it possible that it has returned? Thanks!

I'm having outpatient surgery next week, a look into my belly thru a scope, and am stuck on finding a solution on how to get home after.
I live in a small-medium sized town with no public transportation, and no usable cab service.

I'm not from here, so don't have family here. Few and just casual friends, and cannot ask them to take off of work.

They will not do the surgery [obviously] unless you have a way home. You're supposed to have someone stay with you that night also.

What do people do that are alone?

Other than drowning and heart attacks, is CPR used for any other injuries? Someone who has been shot, would it ever work?

So I called to make an appointment with my doctor today and they never called me back - I thought that was really cool.

I want to thank everyone for thier answers I appreciate it.

I still feel bad, but not as bad as last night. I feel like I have something stuffed under my ribcage and it hurts to bend over to far, which means I can't slouch when I sit. I am still queasy but was able to keep lunch down, but am still burping like every 10 minutes. and I can sit on my couch kinda comfortably

I guess I need to know how long you wait until you go to emergency? I don't want to be stupid and go, but I also don't want to get worse.

I haven't thrown up, my stool isn't clay colored whatever that means and my urine isn't dark. I just wish this would go away.

Any suggestions

I hate this hate this hate this.Im not a hypochondriac but its starting to make me feel like one.The doctors haven't written me off as one I suppose so they checked me out with all clear so they mark it down as depression..Well that all well and fine for them.But im stuck wondering whether or not im crazy or just fell into a black hole of disease and they have no clue.I grant you it started with being depressed but Im not depressed.The only thing im depressed about is not know what the heck im dealing with..I hear my pulse or what seems to be in my ears Ok..I can understand that its said to be benign loss of weight causing loss of padding..yeah maybe..Ok..Pain in different areas of the head .not excruciating but just there..at times.Arms and legs feel odd,this could be from laying around.Heart has a mind of its own beating fast when should be slow and slow when it should be fast..A multitude of symptoms dealing with facial sensations that are not numbness but just like dry skin ..

I have been having persistent pain on the right side of my body for at least a year. It starts at the base of my skull, and runs through my shoulder, down my right arm (my last three fingers are tingly), down the rest of my back, as well as the right side of my ribcage, through my hip and down my right leg. The pain is most severe in my neck, shoulder, and hip. I have had several tests run, and the doctor has yet to find out what is wrong.

I have been abnormally cold the past 3-4 months. I have to sleep with shorts, shirt, and socks on at night. I've checked my temperature, and it usually ranges from 95 to 97.5. I also seem to be consipated (average about 1-2 bowel movements a week). Finally, I have been getting sick easier recently as well (still recovering from swollen lymph node in my neck. Do all of these symptoms seem to point to something wrong with my thyroid? I know about 5 years ago or so I took a blood test for my thyroid, but it came back normal.

on the month of November I was doing these eye exersizes the ones that tell you too look all the way to the left only with your eyes and not your head..well I did and I heard like a crack? i dunno just heard like a snap or something..eversince then my right eye semmed ike pushed in or something and not making eye contact...i dont have double vision and I still see 3d and I have had perfectt alignment all my life..i went to so many opthamologists and all they siad was that it was an eye strain and i dont know what an eye strain is and if it makes the eye ball seem turned in...and people tell me they do nitcie it turns in...and it sucks because the doctors say its fine but in reality it tooks turned in...help!!!!!!!!!!!

my speach was slurred and missing out words in sentences,pain in the left side high up in chest,distorted vision,weakness down left side,short term memory loss,passing out(although rare),sleeping alot,loss of balance,mental slowness,no emotions and loss of bladder controll(lovely at 31!). I have had all sorts of tests and scans and all have come back normal. i am due back to work soon but still have a problem with memory,tired easily and mental slowness. before i was unwell i got alot of headaches,pins and needless and a vibrating feeling down my left thigh(seriously!!) . i had a small but raised lump in a vain on my left thigh that appeared during my last pregnancy and dissapeared when i became unwell and has now started to reappear. does anyone have any ideas as to what could have happened?

My eyes are closed but i can see my room sometimes i can even look at my body laying there on my bed.. Other times if im sleeping on my side with an arm under my pillow i can see my hand.. I started getting these dreams at the age of 13 [now im 20] at first it was scary not being able to wake up but now i can control them and wake myself up as soon as i get this numb feeling all over my body... Its been up to the point where i pinch myself somehow or kick the wall to wake up..

This usually happens in the morning but it has happened to me at night..I get this thing like 2-3 times a month, i dont know when ill get these strange dreams i dont think they are dreams because everything i see is in detail at times i can even hear the TV .. whats wrong with me?
