So I called to make an appointment with my doctor today and they never called me back - I thought that was really cool.

I want to thank everyone for thier answers I appreciate it.

I still feel bad, but not as bad as last night. I feel like I have something stuffed under my ribcage and it hurts to bend over to far, which means I can't slouch when I sit. I am still queasy but was able to keep lunch down, but am still burping like every 10 minutes. and I can sit on my couch kinda comfortably

I guess I need to know how long you wait until you go to emergency? I don't want to be stupid and go, but I also don't want to get worse.

I haven't thrown up, my stool isn't clay colored whatever that means and my urine isn't dark. I just wish this would go away.

Any suggestions

I had my gallbladder removed almost a year ago now. You have 2 choices:

1) Surgery
2) Change your diet.

I couldn't give up the spicy stuff so I opted for the surgery. Even if your having problems a doctor will first discuss changing your diet. No spicy food, avoid foods that cause gas such as brocolli, and things like that. You can start that and combine that with taking an otc medicine like prilosec if you have no allergies or other interactions that may cause problems with taking a medicine such as that. I didn't throw up, never had a bowel problem, or a urine discoloration. Just a lot of pain! Good luck and weigh teh pros and cons of surgery before you decide to do it. It's not the easiest surgery to have. Be prepared to have someone with you for at least the first three days after surgery if you go that route!

If you are not running a fever, can at least tolerate liquids, and are not turning yellow there is no immediate medical emergency. However, if you have any of these problems or you pain is getting worse instead of better you may need to be treated promptly.

I would recommend trying to contact your doctor again. Doctors and people who work in offices are human, and may have lost your request or tried to contact you when you were on your phone or away from it. On the other hand, if you get the run around again, and no apology consider you may be dealing with a dysfunctional office: either uncaring, disorganized or both. Then it would be time to move and try to find someone else to help you.
