Dental - September 2007

my son is 14 and has those appearing on his teeth... just wondering, if it's a certain vitamin that could be missing in his diet that causes this? He is brushing 2 x day... he has realy nice & healthy teeth... so said our Dentist. I've seen it on other people too.

I am getting 2 crowns and after my first appointment (about 7 hours later) I got a horrible sore throat and ear infection on the same side as the teeth that are being worked on. I went to my dr and he put me on Ceftin. I did not tell him about the crowns because I did not think the two occurances were related. Are they?? I am still not feeling well after starting the antibiotic. Thanks for any help.

I use to have white teeth now i have yellow i dont know what whent wrong im only 15 and i brush 2 times a day i when to the dentist and he said nothing was wrong i have tryed every tooth paste you could think of and i one brushed 10 times a day what should i do!!!!

CONT.> so, I am having many problems with my teeth. Is there anything I can do? I have heard other people had problems with this particular orthodontists' employees.
My teeth are still really crooked on the bottom and I also heard that if your teeth are moving for that long of a period, your bones won't be able to move anymore. Is this true???

I have a underbite and was thinking of getting jaw surgery to fix it ( my dentists think it would be a good idea). Could I be back to work in 7 days (and functing). How long till eating solids and feeling better? How is it compared to a tonsilectomy, i have had that done ( in terms of pain and recovery time)?

currently i'm an IB student, which is suppose to help you skip college (as you take all IB classes earning college credit for them)...I plan on becoming a dentist yet i see that they required a bachelors degree...yet, out of all the pre-requisites what i'm missing is organic chemistry, chemistry, physics, and bio chemistry. If i'm missing just these classes, i'm i still required to do a full 4 years before entering dental school or are there any universities where i can just take these classes and then go into the 4 year dental program?

Yesterday, i ate like a hard kind of food and part of my left molar is loose on the side. It broke off but it is still attached to the gums just not the whole molar. The thing is, i had a root canal on that molar. What will happen now? I don't have a crown there only a filling...The part that broke off is kind of hurting and i cant chew on that side...its so annoying! What should i do?

My sister had her 2 teeth pulled down yesterday it was oral surgery they were upside down in her gums I put Ice on her mouth and cheek but it doesnt seem like it worked i was wondering if i should put more ice on it or if i should put heat on it. i was at the dentist and the lady put it a piece ( braces) on my left side in the back, when she got a piece off i felt it fall in my throuat i tried to hold it but it feel down my throat and i sallowed it ever since then I had a pain in my left side of my back, like in the middle, almost where my shoulder blade is, i feel it mostly when im lefting something or move a certain way, im i in serious need of medical condition? it happened tuesday i had my period and my period ends today could it be my period?? help please!

I had a root canal Wed. and afterward they didn't prescribe me any pain med. and I always usually get it. this place said we dont do that. I was like hmm ok. and they said ibuprofen would help and it doesnt they specifically said do not call us bc we wont prescribe it. I asked my doctor to then, my family physician and she said the dentist has to. Anyways also, they said they thought I might've had an infection and said they'd preform anyway, can they do that? Usually I thought they give an antibiotic before and schedule again?? Please tell me if they were allowed anything they did. and where I can turn for pain med.? Besides another dentist, we can only go to that one.
