NOTHING HOT SWEETIE! If you have meltaway stitches, the warmth from the hot soup will make the stitches melt and then you'll have to go back. It will also mess up the process of the cloting.
Start out with yougurt and proceed from there. Yougurt is a good start, you can also have some eggs, BUT make sure that they cool down first. In the next couple of days you can have some mashed potatoes. In fact I just graduated to mashed potatoes today, I kinda make it like a baked potato, minus the chives. It's with Sour Cream, butter, MELTED cheese, and of course potatoes.
Now of course everyone is different. you could be back to eating McDonald's tomorrow, BUT I would not advise that. Just stick with Cold, soft things, and you'll be better before you know it and then go eat whatever you want.
Take care and I hope that you feel better.

haha I remember I just put everything through a blender when I got all my bicuspids pulled. not pureed to baby food level. usually just chopped small enough so I didn't have to chew. smoothies are great. don't suck it with a straw so the clot won't pop out.
i'm asian-american so i had a lot of long grain rice moistened with lukewarm water (enough to separate all the grains easily) with the chopped up stuff on top. not really that different from some rice soups, so it wasn't a big deal to me

I would stay with soup or yogurt or chicken broth, for a couple of days, and rinse your mouth with salt water and dont smoke or it could get infected!!
I would not chew anything for a couple of day so stick with soup or chicken broth..
I have had my widsdom teeth pull and I smoked and I got a dry socket infection and it was very painful and they put a long string of numbing medicine in the dry socket hole and it hurt like hell!!
So rest and dont chew and smoke and stay on liquids for a few days and rinse with salt water!!
If it gets bad call your doctor asap!!!

You can eat mostly softer foods that don't have crunchy and sticky ingredients. You don't want to have anything get stuck in the healing socket.
You will be just fine in a few days.

anything soft and low effort. warm soup not hot cos it could dislodge the clot and restart bleeding, yoghurt or ice cream. the cold will help reduce any residual swelling.
