Someone told me that if you chew on tin foil you can tell whether or not you have cavities or not ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

It's the first time i heard it !! Absurd. A dentist can tell you whether or not u have cavities by visually checking your teeth, using X-rays to check for cavities in between your teeth, usually bite-wing x-rays.. A newer instrument which uses a laser tip to check for cavities is a favourite with children because there is no probing around the mouth with sharp instruments.

If you chew on tin foil, and you have fillings, the tin foil will tingle your tongue like a 9v battery when you stick your tongue to it. This does not work with cavities as far as I know, only metal fillings.

LOL!!! I have a friend that played this trick on her boyfriend when she as mad at him! He'd just gotten his first filling and she told him that chewing on tin foil would make it feel better!!

No way!. It does make a tingling feeling in your mouth but does not detect any cavities.

This is just not true. To know if you defnitely have cavities, see a dentist.

um.. no..you can tell you have a cavity by the pain in your teeth when you eat sugar!
