Okay right,
i have to have a brace on my bottom set, i'm not fussed about that.
But on the top set it all depends on this one tooth.
well i had it taken out like two years ago and it was ment to grow down, but it hasn't
so it's stuck in the pallet (gum)
And they have to open it up, push it down and give me stitches.
thats what im petrified about Help?!!??!.
But depending how it comes down, theres a chance i need a brace then too.
So please.help!

I just took my 19yr old to dentist and he told her that it was best to have all 4 teeth removed at the same time even though she is in no pain and the teeth have not topped the gum - this is our second opinion. This doesn't make sense to me except that it would increase the cost because it is a dental 'surgery' instead of a simple extraction.

Doesn't it make sense to remove just what needs to be taken out when it needs to be taken out? I understand the problem with 'shifting teeth positions' but my child has never really had any problems with her teeth and I don't see how these all need to be removed at the same time especially when there is no pain or infection. Any comments?

I was thinking of getting veneers for my upper teeth. The thing is, I am missing total of 3 teeth and my teeth are very crooked.. so much that even though I have 3 missing teeth you cannot tell because they moved into the places of the missing teeth (I had tooth crowding before). My dentist told me I need braces, and then once space is made where my teeth are missing I will need dental implants.
But I thought that maybe just skipping the braces part and getting veneers would solve this faster .... can someone help me out on this. Will this work?

I just went to my ortho and found out that I need to fix a crossbite. My Ortho says I'm too old (29) and braces alone won't fix it. The bone is too hard now so he will either have to extract the tooth and the matching tooth on the other side or I'd have to go to an oral surgeon and have expansion surgery to fix the bone. I'd be able to keep all my teeth with the surgery. I also lost a couple of teeth in the very back bottom part of my mouth when I was really young. I never had it fixed so now my teeth are spread apart and it seems to be getting worse. So the ortho said I could either have those bottom teeth pulled forward or I could get implants. So should I get the implants and surgery (option 1) or should I get my teeth extracted (top teeth) and the bottom teeth pulled forward with the use of braces (option 2)
Option 1 will cost $15000
Option 2 will cost $3000
I don't care about the cost. I just want to know what you would do...Thank you so much
Jessica

I just bought a box of Crest Whitestrips and I've been using them for about 4 days now, and when I woke up this morning, I had IMMENSE pain in my teeth. Both hot and cold make them hurt even more and it's gotten to the point where even the air is hurting them. What do I do to get rid of the pain? Should I completely stop use of the white strips?

I had a tooth extraction/bone graft done on the last upper molar right hand side. It has been about 24 hours now and it is still bleeding. How long should I expect this heavy bleeding to occur?

My girlfriend works at a dentist and she gave me a whole bunch of packets of the Crest White Strips, but she didn't tell me how to use them and the packets don't have any information on them.
How do I put them on?

Shall I wait till the exams are over. Coz there not causing that much of a problem at the moment. My dentist said it wont make any difference if I do it now but I think he just wants money.

I would like to do an extraction but I am very hungry. Should I eat, brush my teeth and then go? Or forget about it until another time. The pain is killing me though?

I think before is right to share a breakfast with your family with a good breath. And after is right too to have clean teeth for the day.
