Does anyone use a Fluoride rinse for his or her teeth at night? My dentist told me to use a fluoride rinse at night but my mom says that only works for young children and preventing cavities but is pointless for adults? Anyone use this and recommend a brand?

There's no pain or sensitivity, so I'm getting it fixed next week (have an appointment). In the meantime, should I be careful regarding what I eat?

I have large gaps between my back teeth, and rather large food particles get stuck in there until I clean them out with floss.

Is it possible for a piece of meat, for example, to stay so long between the teeth that it starts to grow bacteria, causing food poisoning if I accidentally swallow it?

I have a terrible gag reflex and HORRIBLE anxiety when I have to visit the dentist. I haven't been there in about three years because of it, and every time my mom schedules me for an apt, I make her cancel because I'm just so scared. So I finally had her make me an apt for tomorrow and am determined to go.

My only problem is x-rays. I'm TERRIFIED of them. And I mean that, completely terrified. They have to use the child cardboard squares on me because my mouth is so little but I still gag really bad. They can never do the back ones on me because they just can't seem to get them in my mouth. Is there any way I can not get them? Or try a different method maybe? Has anybody ever refused the x-rays and asked for a different method for doing them? I remember last time I gagged so bad that the lady said that we didn't have to finish and just made me bite down on this machine and it went around me and took pictures. I'm fine with that. PLEASE help me I'm petrified for tomorrow!

The teeth were removed 5 days ago, and my stitches are starting to come out. On one side, there is a small hole where my cheek meets my gums. Is this a go to the dentist now thing, or can it wait until morning?

Here is the thing: I have had something wrong with my tooth off and on for a while where when i chew on that side of my mouth it would be intense pain but only when i ate and it would go away fairly quickly. What do i have? It's come back again and its on both sides and its affecting my desire to eat. It only hurts when i eat on it.

I don't mean just a little. I mean like all the way, so it looks like they're knocked completely out. Happened to a girl in 1st grade and it turned out her teeth weren't knocked out, they were just shoved up inside her gums. She had to have them pulled out, but I was wondering what this type of injury is called. Can it give problems later on? I'm pretty sure these were her baby teeth cuz she was 6 years old.

I have a black little dot on my cheek. Back by my molars. I read others who had the same black dot, but no responses back from them who had. If anyone has had one, looks like a freckle or small mole, doesn't hurt, cant scrape it off....please respond back to what you have found by going to the dentist or doctor. I would like to know first before going to the doctor, and wait a couple days as it may be a little blood blister. Any ideas, suggestions, and what others have found out would be great! :)

You don't have to get braces after to re-align them after all 4 wisdom teeth are pulled out, right?

I'm 14 and I recently had an X-Ray taken of my teeth when I got my braces off. Previously I had been told I would need my Wisdom teeth pulled, but the recent x-ray pic showed I didn't have any. I talked with my Orthodontist and she said I didn't have any, but they might grow in when I'm older. I'd like to know what the chances of wisdom teeth growing in at my age? (And remember, there were no signs of anything there, just empty space in my gum)
