My 3.5 yr old has his two front teeth turning gray over the past week. he was injured about 2 weeks ago when a door slammed him in the face and was bruised on his chin. He isn't on a bottle (hasn't been for 2 yrs ) and we brush his teeth every day. Any idea what it is and how to fix it? I do have a call into his dentist but they haven't called back.

For the last 3 days I've been having this pain in my Jaw,teeth, ear and neck. It doesn't hurt when I chew or clench my teeth together. The pain comes and goes throughout the day and night. Brushing my teeth actually makes it feel better. And rinsing my mouth makes it feel better. although now the pain doesn't fully go away. It's starting to make my cheek bone hurt. Does anyone know what this might be. Ear or tooth problem...? Please help. I have an appt. for next Monday to see my dr. and I can't get in with my dentist until next month. What can I do to help with the pain.?

I am a severe asthmatic and while in High School I spent almost 4 years on a steroid called prednisone. Along with that and a lot of time in the hospital I was on and off other steroids as well. I am finding the long term affects of prednisone to be horrible. For instance I am 24 and have horrible teeth. A long term affect of prednisone is it eats away at the enamel on your teeth. My doctors and dentist have told me that is why my teeth all of a sudden got bad after about 19 yrs old. I want to get veneers or something to make my smile more attractive and help build my self esteem. I dont have dental insurance. I live in Orange VA and know my way around Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and Culpeper. Does anyone know somewhere I can go for cheap to look into getting veneers?

i was just looking up on the crest whitestrips website to learn about them and it said that they will not whiten caps, crowns, veneers, dentures, or fillings. The bottom half of my left front tooth was broken off a few years ago and it's been resculpted with white filling material until i turn 18 and can get a cap or crown.... what exactly do they mean when they say it won't whiten it? will the bottom part of that tooth be the same color it is now? because its not my entire tooth...

I haven't been to the dentist in a while (bad me) but I decided to schedule a cleaning and they asked if I had a heart murmur, which I do. They told me I would have to have antibiotics before they could do it. This is a new dentist but in the past I have never been asked this before and the murmer has never alarmed my regular doctor. Any ideas?

I recently cracked a small piece of my tooth (above the gumline). I moved to a new city less than 6 months ago, so I had to find a new dentist to look at my tooth. I basically picked someone close by who could fit me in asap. He told me that I need to get a porcelain crown. This dentist was nice, but he seemed pretty low tech compared to my last dentist. My new dentist has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years. Do dentists require up-to-date training? I am just a bit nervous that I will end up with something outdated in my mouth. Has dental crown "technology" changed very much in recent years? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

I've got a cavity in one of my front teeth that I've been trying to ignore but it's getting more noticeable and one of my friends commented on it the other day, so I think I really need to think about getting it fixed now, but I'm scared - what's it like getting a filling in a front tooth? And can you tell once it's been done?

It has now been 3 days. The pain is worse than the day I got them pulled. I have sharp pain in my cheek, jaw is throbbing and neck hurts? I finally couldn't take it anymore and went to ER yesterday. Doc barely looked at it, sent me home with 6 tramadol and told me to go to dentist today. I am afraid because I had soooo much pain before I had them removed, he gave me 3 scripts for painkillers, he will think I am just drug seeking. I know I'm not crazy and this is not normal. Has anyone else gone through this? The only thing that even makes it bearable is 3 xtra strength tylenol and 1 tramadol. I am a grown woman sitting here crying not sure what to do.

I've had quite a few fillings done recently, and even though they've been for relatively small cavities, the fillings themselves always seem really big in comparison to the area of decay on the tooth. Like when I looked in the mirror I could only see a small area of decay on the tooth, but then when I got the filling it was really big and covered about a half of the tooth surface. Why is that??

I have a big problem!
My teeth are really crocket, and i think, that i need braces. But my parents don't agree. They think that praces are too expensive, and they keep telling me taht i have a fine and unique smile, cause they don't have the money for braces.

This is how my teeth look:

what do you think? Is my smile "fine and unique" or do you agree with me, that braces would be great? And for how long would you think that I will need them? Please be honest!

The teeth are pretty bad, the front two are rotted alittle in the middle where they join, and the other four, two at each side are very rotten, and broke in half. He also has a baby tooth still in the bottom of his mouth which was never removed. He needs a Dentist but is reluctant to go because of the cost.Does any one know how much it would be and what would have to be done to make his mouth normal again? Thanks :)

My five month old now has two teeth, so I bought the Orajel baby toothpaste and brush and he LOVES it. He actually cries when I stop brushing. I was brushing them yesterday and realized it'd been like, ten minutes then it occurred to me that I could be damaging his little teeth.. I don't add more paste, he just likes the feel of the little plastic bristles on his gums.. So, could I be hurting him more than helping?
