Not just an orthodontist. Any dental hygienist, dentist, oral surgeon, etc can tell right away that you are throwing up regularly. You can't hide it! Stop throwing up. If you exercise you will not gain much weight at all. You are not fat.
Tell your parents what you have been doing so they can get you help before you kill yourself. Confess now because once the orthodontist sees your mouth HE WILL KNOW right away.
Inside your stomach is something called hydrochloric ACID which strips the enamel right off your teeth after you repeatedly throw up for days, weeks, months, etc. Enamel NEVER GROWS BACK. Which means you are at risk for losing your teeth not to mention dying from malnutrition.

Your dentist will be able to tell no problem, everytime you make yourself vomit, the acid in your stomach will erode the enamel on your teeth.
Maybe by seeing your dentist/orthodontist this could be the first step in admitting that you have a serious problem and get some professional help to combat this before it spirals out of control totally.
Good luck
Ps It's not just your teeth that will show tell tale signs of vomiting, your finger nails will also give you away as well!

If you still intend to keep vomiting then you should be seeing a doctor as well as your dentist. You must really have a deep rooted problem (excuse the pun) if you are vomiting I take it it's because you want to keep your weight down. You are such a silly person, you will end up killing yourself so why bother about your teeth anyway.

May I offer some advise, your dentist should be non judgemental about your eating disorder.

It is in your best interest to disclose your condition to the dentist or orthodontist in order for the best treatment plan to be put in place.

This treatment plan may include repairing any damage already done but may also include preventative measures that can be put in place such as protective coverings, fluoride mouth rinses.

You can't hide that, you haven't told us why do you vomit so much. I hope you aren't doing it on purpose or you have some kind of medical problem. Make up a good lie if your dentist asks, tell him that you sometimes eat foods that don't agree with your stomach.

Please get some help for your problem from the other answers your dentist will know and really by getting sick your teeth will get bad so solve your problem with your sickness first as one answer said your parents are paying so even try to talk to them as they must care about you. Take care and good luck at the dentist.

OK, first off either you or your parents are spending ALL that money to make your teeth pretty. Why vomit and ruin all that. What happens when you vomit is the acid eats away at your teeth. Depending on how long you have been doing this, the signs might not go away.

ok im not gonna try to get u to stop b/c i no it's not a choice and it takes A LOT more to recovery than someone trying to convice u to stop, it just doesn't work that way, etc etc. but unfornutaley, theres no way to hide it. admit it to your dentist. what is he gonna do about it? he's a dentist.
but PLEASE get help!! i cant stress it enough. if u think its so bad u could even go to the renfrew center which is really tough i no but does help u to recover, probably the best eating disorder clinic in the country. i no it could be hard to let go and/or tell your parents, BUT PLEASE GET HELP!!

I'm a dentist.

People who vomit frequently (e.g. bolemics or people on repeated chemo) tend to have significant erosion of their teeth.

There's no way to hide it. Furthermore, there is no good reason to hide it.

If you are vomiting repeatedly, you should see your physician to have it addressed.
