i was just looking up on the crest whitestrips website to learn about them and it said that they will not whiten caps, crowns, veneers, dentures, or fillings. The bottom half of my left front tooth was broken off a few years ago and it's been resculpted with white filling material until i turn 18 and can get a cap or crown.... what exactly do they mean when they say it won't whiten it? will the bottom part of that tooth be the same color it is now? because its not my entire tooth...

Yes, it means that any false tooth or part of a tooth will remain the color it is. Those things reallllllly work, though. My teeth are ridiculously white, and I stopped using them several months ago. (I don't drink coffee or smoke, either)

the shades on asthetic materials are pre-made in labs to be a certain color that matches your teeth. they match it at the time you get the dental work done. if you use a whitener, you could make your natural teeth whiter but the dental work you are speaking of will remain virtually the same color as it originally made. so, the colors may not match. many composites tend to yellow over the years, some are worse than others. what some dentists do when you get cosmetic work done and are wanting whiter teeth, is pick a shade that is lighter, one they think your teeth will match after you get them whitened. if possible, some people prefer to have their teeth whitened prior to getting the cosmetic work done, so that the dentist will know for certain what shade of dental work to give you.

I have a lot of white fillings and I used the strips. All I did was use them until the teeth got to the same color as the white filling. It brightened up my teeth, but didn't make them so white that the fillings were a different color.

I used the Whitestrips few circumstances and replaced into happy with the outcomes- undecided with regard to the Aquafresh stuff regardless of the indisputable fact that. you ought to use Whitestrips two times according to twelve months, even decrease back to diminish back (to any extent further than that could reason your tooth and gums to grow to be very soft.)

Only real tooth enamel will whiten, if you have dental work that was colormatched to your natural teeth, and tthen you have your natural teeth whitened, the difference will show, the dental work will not bleach.
