Sounds like he may have sensitive teeth which can be caused by lack of enamel. This can also cause sensitivity to hot or cold. First, he should see a dentist to make sure he does have a hidden cavity(s). Then use sensodyne or a tooth paste made for sensitive teeth. also fluoride treatments may help.

He needs to see a dentist... He may need fillings or need to have old ones replaced... Maybe even root canals or extractions...He may just have sensitive areas on teeth
As far as reliving pain a Motrin or Tylenol is the only other way other than a dentist... You can buy Ambisol which can be put directly on the tooth(it's only a temporary fix) and possibly try an tooth paste for sensitive teeth... Other than that, not much can help... Don't wait too long to see dentist...Nothing like your real teeth, so save them if you can

Sounds like an abscess, It is if your face is swollen. The only way to clear it is Penicillin. or it could be a hole in a tooth if air is getting in. See a Dentist asap, it wont get any better only worse. the best pain killers are boots own brand tooth ache tablets, that should ease it off until you see a dentist.

He may have sensitive teeth you might want to consider using a toothpaste made for people with sensitive teeth and he might want to see a dentist since that's also a sign of cavities forming as well.

This could be many different things from peridontal disease to a cracked tooth. Only a dental professional can diagnose this properly.
