I would like to do an extraction but I am very hungry. Should I eat, brush my teeth and then go? Or forget about it until another time. The pain is killing me though?

Definitely eat good before you go. I had 4 extractions for braces almost 2 weeks ago and my appointment was early in the morning and I didn't eat anything. My mouth was numb for like 4 or so hours after my appointment and I was starving. Plus, some dentists recommend a soft diet for 24 hours after the extractions. Go ahead and eat, brush and then go. I wish you the best of luck.

if ur not being put to sleep or have the gas go ahead and eat something light but if u are getting the gas then u prolly wouldnt want to eat it could upset ur stomach and make u sick.. i had four teeth pulled and i didnt eat because i was getting the laughing gas and it made me sick once so i didnt eat until after. Most places will give u pain meds they help but still eat soft foods and soups but make sure u drink alot of water or milk .Pop somtimes burns the area where the tooth was pulled

you have to eat before any dental appointment (unless you are put under). If you don't eat your sugar level will drop and you will become lightheaded or will faint during procedure. And trust me no dentist wants to have a dizzy patient. Some offices actually have chocolate, pop or OJ in the fridge for hungry lightheaded patients.

Eat first before going for the extraction. Some patients become unconscious because they have not eaten(or could be brought about by fear also).I suggest you eat first.Coz afterwards you'll be advised to take medications for pain(in that case,at least there's some food on your stomach) Or depending on what your dentist has told you,if he will be advising you pre-medications before undergoing surgery-so eat,brush,premedication--if necessary).

Don't worry,it'll be alright.

if you are not being put under general anesthesia in other words being put to sleep it is ok to eat, just eat something soft that doesn't cause you a lot of pain

You can eat and then brush. This is fine.
