I just bought a box of Crest Whitestrips and I've been using them for about 4 days now, and when I woke up this morning, I had IMMENSE pain in my teeth. Both hot and cold make them hurt even more and it's gotten to the point where even the air is hurting them. What do I do to get rid of the pain? Should I completely stop use of the white strips?

I would say that you definitely need to stop using them & you should consult your dentist. He/she may be able to provide something to ease the sensitivity that you seem to be experiencing.

Sensitivity is a side effect. You can use a de-sensitizing toothpaste for a few weeks to build them back up, but anything that causes IMMENSE pain should be stopped. Maybe you can give them another try when you've used the sensitivity toothpaste for awhile.

You probably already have a cavity or two which the chemicals in the whitening strips have aggravated. You can use a desensitizing tooth paste for a few days and if that helps consider yourself very lucky.

Or you could go the dentist have all your teeth pulled and use dentures. You can keep them perley white by soaking them overnight and occasionally in bleach. Also they do not rot when you puke to loose weight and are trouble free unless you flush them down the bog when you finish puking.

I guess it comedown to which is more important. Grinning with pearly white teethe or eating.

Stop using them and go to a dentist immediately. It could be sensitivity but it could've also caused some sort of infection and we are certainly not going to be able to help you without being able to examine your teeth.

I also had this problem, don't use them for a few days, and when you do use them again, first brush your teeth with a toothpaste designed for sensitive teeth, and only use them every two or three days. It will take longer to whiten them but it hurts a lot less!!!!

This happened to me too. It'll feel better in a day or two. I would give it a break for a few days. It just depends on how sensitive your teeth are.

I would ask the dentist before I ever used them again.
