Does baking soda and peroxide brighten your teeth up ... If does, why don't dentist tell us ?

I just got braces today and my teeth are fine. Only one tooth hurts and i cant fell ANY pain on all the other teeth. But the one that does hurt hurts like crazy. It's not scraping my gum its just the actual tooth that REALLY HURTS!! is that normal for only one tooth to hurt really bad??!!

I only have a gap in the middle of my teeth, it's pretty small but noticeable.

putting things in mouth and chewing on them. things like bottle caps, pencils, sometimes pieces of paper. It's a nasty habbit that i want to stop but i just can't help it sometimes. Why do i do it?

I have been taking Prilosec for over a year, and have broken 4 teeth in that time. My suspicions are the effects of Prilosec (or Prevacid), which I took earlier. Before this time, I had no problem. Thanks.

I am supposed to get an expander sometime. What is it and what are some of the "effects" of it? Also, I could also get 4 braces on my front 4 teeth. Would this start straightning my teeth quicker?

I have been reading a lot of the reviews concerning braces because I will be getting some in a few weeks. I am an adult, but metal would be fine to me. Looks is not the issue. I see a lot of people saying clear braces stain. Some people seem to be talking about invsalign and some seem to be talking about the ones that just go on the top front teeth that are visible when you smile. My question is about the SECOND ones (I think they are damon 3 or something like that). I want to know if they really do stain, look nasty after awhile, etc. I have the option of these, ceramic, and metal for the same price. Opinions on the types please. I already know what the types are, I just want to hear from someone who has actually had them.

I am 20 years old, and I have to get ALL 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out on FEB. 23rd and I am scared to death. I dont like pain, and the part that scares me the most, is that I dont know what to except, or what they will do first, and last. Can someone please, please, give me a true-detailed-step-by-step day of what I should expect from the second I get there, from what kind of pain i will feel, will i feel any pain? will i be completely put to sleep durring the surgery? are there any shots to put me to sleep? is it a gas? how long will my mouth hurt after its over with? IM SO SCARED!!!!!!! :'( I made the appointment just now, and already my heart is racing...i dont like pain... oh God...I need somebody who has been thru this, so I can get some sleep tonite..please.

I would really appreciate it...thank you!

Ok,I'm a good looking guy,25 years old. i've had my share of beautiful girlfriends.but one thing i hate about myself is my teeth.they are all crooked and rotting in the back and this keeps getting worse no matter how hard i maintain them(rinse,floss,brush)I have no dental insurance and i live in upstate NY.I want to get them all pulled and get inplants,NOT DENTURES!!!how much do you think something like this would cost w/ no insurance and is there any oter ways i can go about this..Let me know please..

Hello,
About 4 months ago, I had my wisdom teeth removed (the top 2). Only about 1 week ago, I started to get a decent amount of pressure in my pallate, upper jaw, and molars situated right in front of the extraction site. Maybe this co-incides with the onset of really cold weather, maybe not. But has anyone ever heard of something like this? I do grind my teeth at night (that will be taken care of) but could the resulting pressure (less pain, than an annoying ache and pressure) be due to this ?

I got my clear braces yesterday. No elastic, just wire. A few (urgent) questions:
1) How long before I can expect to stop feeling that I have a ton of something in my mouth?
2) How long before I can expect to stop feeling the pain from the wires pulling-in at my teeth? Or is this permanent ?
3) The metal braces from my molars hurts my cheek. Is this temporary or permanent? what can I do about it?
4) I dont feel like talking a lot. Is this going to be permanent till I get the braces off?
5) What foods can I eat/not eat? I am a vegetaria. Can someone tell me whether I can eat each of the foll or not?

I've been thinking about getting Lumineers for a little while now. I have extremely sensitive teeth and very little enamel left on my teeth. I read the info on Lumineers and realize they are placed differently than traditional veneers and I think they may be just the right thing for me.

Know anybody who has them? Are they worth the money, and was it really only two visits? Are they what they're cracked up to be???

my friend has bad breath. i have told him about it and he says its cause of a hole in one of hes tooth its a small black hole could that be the problem to hes bad breath and how can you treat it.
plus if i tell him to breath threw hes nose rather than hes mouth would that help :S
