putting things in mouth and chewing on them. things like bottle caps, pencils, sometimes pieces of paper. It's a nasty habbit that i want to stop but i just can't help it sometimes. Why do i do it?
How can i help it?

I read somewhere one time that it only take approx. 21 days to quit a habit. I quit biting my nails in only two weeks, and I bit them for 23 years!!!

You did the first thing admmiting you got a problem but the next step is to let go of the habit. You could do is look at the people who do that and see your self is that really me? Then either put something that discusting in your hands so that way the thing in your mouth will taste the the same

to break the habit
try chewing gum when u have the urge to chew something

Replace these items with gum.
Just have some on you all the time.

you do it because your bored and your just looking for something to do. To stop this problem put something that you toatally nasty to you on it like vinegar or pee

well, you know the problem - JUST STOP!!!!!!!!!!! get some gum hey - way better for ya! suck a sucker - maybe it's just a little nervous habit - QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
