I have a severe TMJ disorder that causes clicking, ear pain, dizziness - the works. It has been diagnosed, but I am having trouble finding an actual Doctor or Dentist that is remotely knowledgable about TMJ treatment. Thus, I have been given the most rediculous treatment ideas -- "Try yoga" -- No thank you. "Just relax" --good idea -- "try some warm chamomile tea" -- Whatever!! -- There must be a Doctor or Dentist out there that actually treats TMJ using actual medical techniques.

Thanks

I know I'm not the only one out there, so let's hear it.
Do you take excellent care of your teeth?

it felt like were were just a number being called the dentist took all of five mintues with him said he will need to have this done in the operting room and said my secretary will schedule it. what is so weird is we brush his teeth twice a day, took the bottle from him at 1, he does not get anything to drink after we brush his teeth at nite unless it is water and he is not real big on sweets. she told us it was too much sugar in his diet and basically was scolding us when she didnt even give us anytime to tell her anything. we are going for a second opinion tomorrow. what im wondering is he only has 20 teeth how can 15 of them be cavities and i am afraid to put him under for this why would we do anything to baby teeth. his doesnt complain of pain. the only reason why we took him was because of a spot we saw on one tooth. any advice on this would help.

I wake up with pain in my Jaw

Last year I went to a local Oral Surgeon and had what seemed to me to be the most traumatising experience in a dental chair ever!! He not only just rammed the needles in with no care in the world but pushed the plunger so hard and fast the stuff was squirting into the back of my throat!! Then he proceeded to extract 6 teeth total by placing a block between my top and bottom jaws and having his assistant hold my jaws together took a hammer and chisel and broke my teeth into several pieces before pulling them out!! I was just curious if this is the general procedure for extracting teeth?? Most people undergo this type of procedure after being put under in one way or another. I definitely am not a baby when it comes to a dental chair, the previous week I slept through 4 rootcanals with my regular dentist.

Seriously. It's been about two weeks. My cheeks, chin, and my bottom lip is still numb. I can't feel it when I start to drool. I'm pretty sick of sticking a kleenex in my mouth all the time. And I'm also sick of people having to tell me when drool is running down my chin.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Bc I've heard that for topical fluoride (unlike systemic fluoride), you can never get too much of it...

Now... this may sound stupid, but it might make sense. Would grinning like an idiot during high noon somehow benefit your teeth; like maybe have an anti septic effect, or bleach your teeth white?
