You can use as many brands as you like. The only time it makes a difference is if you are using a desensitizing toothpaste. In that case, using a non-desensitizing one may negate the effect of the first.

Try and brush three times per day.

There are many good toothpastes on the market that specifically whiten the teeth and help to remove stains. Ask your dentist to recommend one. Get your teeth cleaned by a dentist at least twice a year.

I see no problem using two different toothpastes morning and night. It can't do any harm, and may do some good.

I am guessing you are asking about using two different toothpastes? Coffee and tea (not the caffeine in them, but their coloring) will discolor teeth, as will soda, red wine, blueberries, and smoking. Use whitening toothpaste.

Brush after you drink them, or at least use a portable mouthwash.
That will cut down on the staining of the teeth.
