If you are concerned about the health of your teeth...your best bet is to first see your dentist and ensure that you have no open cavities (this will prevent any whitening type of solutions to go into the cavities holes and cause infection or hurt your gums). For about $150-$200 you can get Ultradent gels and a positioner. It ususally includes about 6 syringes and will last you about a year. The upkeep depends on how much you whiten. Each syringes is $25.00 which could last up to 8 months. I read these are better than those Wal-mart whitening strips and they don't cost a fortune.
About the drinks that are good for your teeth (if you mean stainwise)...water, water, water, and milk is good.
Bad? Any color drinks (especially teas, coffees, cranberry juice, and soda). Oh yeah, cigarettes will def. fade away whitening very quickly.
Good luck

I can attest to using those crest white strips ultra. Use two boxes in a row. You arent supposed to do that, but once u finish one box, start another. After that, u should see BIG difference. Just dont make it a habit of using the strips because i have been told it messes up your enamel. Once u do the 2 boxes completely, then use the listerine whitening mouthwash before u brush and find a gooood whitening toothpaste. I know you can tell which toothpaste is the best at whitening by whichever is most expensive. trust me, i constantly get complimented on how white my teeth are and this is what i do.

Tea, Coffee, Sodas are out - anything caffenine and dark color generally are bad
Water, Crystal Light, White Tea, Green Tea, and Red Tea are good alternatives. Also, herbal teas aren't bad.
Crest White strips I hear are good. I use the Remington Whitening System from Walmart. It's actually very reasonably priced at $10 and quick results! But, I'm actually getting it cosmetically done as the whitening agents eat away at a layer of your teeth. Good every once in while, but not all the time.

Crest White Strips are the greatest! I had yellowey teeth and I used the Crest White Strips twice a day for about a month and I swear, it has whitened my teeth alot!!
And for the bad breath, chew gum!! Maybe even the whitening gum too!
Have your teeth cleaned and then start this process, you WILL notice a big difference!

anything with caffeine is bad for the teeth and smoking.
try some teeth powder
1/2 cup of baking soda, (whitens teeth)
1/4 cup of fine sea salt, (polishes teeth and tightens gums)
1 teaspoon of myrrh powder (fights germs)
10 drops of peppermint essential oil (refreshes and deodorises)
Combine the ingredients and store in a tightly covered container.
To use: scoop about 1 teaspoon of the tooth powder into a shallow dish. Wet your toothbrush, dip it into the powder, and then brush your teeth and rinse as usual.

Brush and floss regularly and in addition rinse your mouth out with hydrogen peroxide. Don't use whitener; they can damage the enamel on your teeth. Try not to drink teas, coffees, port wines, grape juice, etc on a regular basis as they stain your teeth.

Baking soda is a very good cleaner, but as for whitening, go to the drug store and buy Remington teeth whitener kit...works very well if you follow instructions...same stuff that you get from the dentist for about 400.00 , at drug store, it cost about 20-40.00 Good luck

get mouth guards for your upper and lower jaw dilute vinegar in a glass at a 5-1 ratio with water and then add a little bit of peroxide. mix baking soda and your into a past then put it into the mouth guards. Put them on over night or while watching TV or whatever but at least two to three hours. If the vinegar is diluted properly it wont fuzz up when mixed with the baking soda.

I heard that eating alot of walnuts or almonds would make your teeth white. Or put some baking soda on your tooth brush.

Get a tan. Makes your teeth appear whiter, and it doesn't cost a fortune.
