My mom was supposed to have one a few years ago and just had the tooth pulled because a lot of people told her root canals don't last. Wouldn't it just be better to get them pulled? I could use the extra room. Plus, I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in December, so money is an issue (we have to pay 20%)...

I was wondering about halitosis..seems all the major mouth washs that dentists prescribe really dont work, and tongue scraping only helps for a minute and the smell would still be in the mouth, tons of sticky stuff on the tongue which I believe is caused by voliatole sulfur compounds...does anybody have any professional advice on how to PREVENT these compounds from forming in the mouth before they get to the mouth?

My 12 year old daughter brushes her teeth twice a day with floridde tooth paste.

Her uper last molar on the right will need a root canal {thay wont garentee it will save it and our family has hard times with root canals}

Or it will have to come out

the dentist says coming out is the best option the time of it she will be on bioxin XL

they say this is acually good

What should i and she know?

What about recovery?

I know to ask the dentist but want an idea

thank you

I love my boyfriend very much but his teeth are horrid. About 8 are missing, he has only 1 front tooth, some are cracked, some are blackened, some are twisted, one of his wisdom teeth has a crown missing. He has had several abcesses around different spots of his gums. He gums are black and very weak. He doesnt know where to start to get his teeth fixed. When he last went to the dentist the dentist told him he needed at least $15,000 to fix his whole mouth and my boyfriend doesn't have that kind of money. He asked could i possibly add him on to my dental insurance which i am unsure of and i cant do that till the next benefits enrollment date which is in january. Other than that he has no other alternatives. Any suggestions?

A while back during a wrestling session, my jaw was hit with a "russian uppercut" totally by accident. But afterwards I felt it a bit hard to like perform the chewing motion. The next day the right side I guess slipped back into place. But my left side now is more out of it, it only hurts when I go to open my mouth all the way. There is a point where I feel it in my upper left side of my face where its like a pulling sensation and it hurts. Anyways, I can live with the pain its not like its hurting very bad but its annoying as hell when I eat to have to worry about chewing to fast on the left side that I open up to much. Anyways, im thinking about getting an X-ray or something but I didnt want to do it to prematurely cause well like alot of people im without health insurance. So if anyone can give me some pointers I would appreciate it.
