I would think flossing. That is where most of the plaque sits, and that is where decay begins. There are also things you can eat that remove the plaque from your teeth, withou brushing(though it's NOT recommended!)

I'm sure flossing is better for you but I'd rather brush.

I think brushing alone would be more beneficial than flossing alone.

If I had to choose ONE thing to clean my teeth, I'd use a toothpick in a Perio-Aid. Floss can't reach the bottom of the sulcus in most adults, even without appreciable pocket depth formation.

Flossing. I imagine saliva and crunchy foods like carrots would clean what's exposed, but that chewy or stringy foods like meat, squid, and bean sprouts would stay stuck in the gums and make a nasty breeding ground.

I would floss and rinse with an anti plaque solution with fluoride added to it.
