If you're young, it's growing pains. You could have a dentist check it nonetheless. If it were the top teeth, it could very well be sinus trouble. I've had that before. Good Luck!

I could be due to recession, when the gum tissue shrinks to expose the root surface of the tooth. Is it sensitive to cold too? This would be a good sign that the root surface is exposed.
If it is just sensitive if you push on it, it could be due to excessive force (grinding or clenching your teeth) that can actually make one or more teeth sore. Or it could be due to periodontal issues (loss of bone).
If it bothers you, see your dentist. They can place a desensitizer, make you a nightguard, or treat the periodontal disease. Or they may find there is some other reason for the pain. May be nothing to worry about or it could be serious. Best to be safe than sorry.

The nerve may be exposed at the gum line. An abscess would hit one tooth or teeth that are next to each other. You might want to see a dentist.

I had a similar problem. Mine was so bad I could hardly eat. I thought I had a cavity, but I went to the dentist and it turns out I was grinding my teeth as I slept. They gave me a bite guard and it has really helped!
