32 Unless u have a supernumerary tooth or several supernumerary teeth. I've seen people with 6 wisdom teeth just on one side under their gum. a child might have an extra front tooth.Genes have a lot to do with this. also medication in the 1st 28 day of gestation while a fetus. It sound like u r cutting wisdom teeth. sometimes they are slow coming in. Make sure to brush that area. If the tissue gets inflamed while cutting through. and gets infected it gets sore. keep it clean until they are through and you might have to slide your jaw to reach it. u know from side to side. brushing it real good will tuffen it up then it wont hurt so much. I was a dental assistant for 29 years.

32 teeth total, 4 of those are the wisdom teeth. Sounds like you have two wisdom teeth that need to be removed. If you only see a portion of them, they could be rotated or positioned in such a way that the gums around them are becoming inflammed. See a dentist who will take a panoramic x-ray and talk to you about removing them. Good luck.

You are supposed to have a total of 28 teeth excluding wisdom teeth/3rd molars. In each quadrant (i.e. either upper right or left and something in the bottom) you should have 7 teeth. They are 1 central incisor, 1 lateral incisor, 1 canine, 1 first premolar, 1 second premolar, 1 first molar and 1 second molar. Depending upon your age and condition, it is possible that you have wisdom teeth or other teeth which are partially impacted or fused to the bone. Hope that helps.

You should have 28 then your wisdom (which are sore when they come in) teeth will add 4 more. Making 32 the total.
