hi my name is lily and i just got the metal bands. and the seperator it sore a little but i heard about the tightening , well i am really weak okay. and i have a crossbite,overlapped tooth, and i am scared. does it hurt alot when they tighten them. how does it feel like for a 12 year old and 11. hurt,okay, or just doesnt hurt at all! oh yea well how does it also feel when u come for adjustments each month?? one more question, what are the parts of braces??

Also, if there are teeth broken off into the gums, what is done about that? How do they make dentures that look like your own teeth (normal) and how is it done in one day? Help! Need answers ASAP

Does anyone know or have experiance with the implants that they can put in now in the back of your mouth to clip your dentures to , it is suppose to give you a more nature fit and fewer problems ? Also cost ?
Most insuarance covers dentures right or atleast most of it ?

In my previous question I asked if I could make the novacaine numbness go away. I waited it out and I'm fine today- except now the side where my cavities were filled is swollen! its not severe but it is noticible and tender. Should I be concerned or is that normal? What should I do?

Okay so three days ago, I bit down on a fork by mistake cuz I was just careless. It hurt so much that I though I might've chipped my tooth so I ran to the bathroom mirror to check what the heck I did, but nothing looks damaged. It is just SORE. I can't use the bottom two of my front teeth cuz its very very sore. It feels raw and achy as if my teeth just got bleached and it got sensitive or something. Do I need to spend $$$ on going to the dentist office to see if there is other damage or do I just wing it out until it stops hurting? There is no crack or split or any physical damage that I can see. I'm wondering if this pain is not normal and if I should go in to the dentist just to get an X-ray which will probably tell me nothing is wrong...but should I go anyway?

I got my braces yesterday (the metal kind) and my teeth hurt like hell.. I know this will go away after a week or so.. but what foods do you eat during that week long period.. also I have an over bite so when I try to eat solid foods It feels really awkward.. anyone else have this problem?

We as adults drink a lot of bottled water. There is no fluoride in bottled water. Why doesn't insurance cover fluoride treatments and why must I buy a fluoride rinse to get the necessary fluoride for healthy teeth? Has anyone else experience this or thought of this?

My dentist says I have straight teeth, i just have small spaces in between some of my front ones. I'm a junior in high school, and am hoping to get them off before senior pics. or at least before college. i go for a confrontation on the 10th. i haven't gotten braces yet, but i will sometime this month hopefully.

Can you use white strips more than the suggested twice a day? My teeth aren't experiencing any sensitivity... can I use it more to speed up the process? Or is this damaging?

Ok i just came from the denist and they told me i have no cavity and i know i dont and i was suppose to wait 30 minutes before i eat and i didn't...And now it hurt really really bad..Everytime i bite down it hurts!!!!
