My dentist says I have straight teeth, i just have small spaces in between some of my front ones. I'm a junior in high school, and am hoping to get them off before senior pics. or at least before college. i go for a confrontation on the 10th. i haven't gotten braces yet, but i will sometime this month hopefully.

I had braces for the second time to just straighten out my teeth a bit more and I only had them for four months as a sophomore in high school. You should be getting them off in a few months or so, and you can always ask your orthodontist at your "confrontation" (I think you mean consultation).

I had the comparable subject, I had braces for 3 years yet that became 10 years in the past so could be swifter now, additionally I had terrible 'prepare tracks' yet you could now get high quality sparkling ones. Its defiantly properly worth it in spite of how long it takes

Ask for other options. They have mouth pieces and retainers. They may be more expensive, but as I have gotten older people are impressed if you had braces. It is common, I had the things for 8 years, many many surguries, and now I am good. Besides it is a good conversation piece.
Thank heavens you have an option, imagine being a buck-tooth beaver your whole life? Take what you can get!

orthadontist are salesmen just like plastic surgeon they sale you a dream theu play on the idea that you are ugly without this procedure i say until his lease is up on the lexus i wish they would all go to britain they would starve over there lol

My son who had pretty straight teeth had his for 28 months, I had mine for 62 months.

Your dentist should tell you !!! It depends on how big the gap is... common is one or two years. But call him and ask.. you have the right to know. Don't be shy to ask him.

I think you should ask your Orthodontist. But if your teeth are straight, it should take about a year.
