there is this smile contest at my orthodontist, and i got in the top 40 out of a couple thousand or something, it ends august 18th, and whoever gets in the top 12 will be in brochures and commercials and stuff, and its like really important to me, so if you are willing to vote for me, its really simple, you can vote with as many email addresses as you want once a day, and it would be so awesome if you could, so email me if you want me to send u the link and my name so you can vote. thanks so much!

I've had mercury amalgam fillings in my back teeth since I was a child. I'm concerned the metal continues to seep into my system. I've heard porcelain composites don't last in back teeth, but do dentists still use gold fillings if you have the cash for them? And do they prove to be the best fillings?

My mother in law got her's pulled and they meesed up and had to send her all the way accross town to another dentist to finish with the tooth hanging out. I don't have insurence so I may have to go to a dental college. Anyone have any words of encouragement or am I doomed?

I was told by an assisant dentist that teeth whiteners are not really a good thing for teeth as it eventually breaks down the fibres within the tooth itself as the inner part is more fragile to it. Thus the tooth will eventually weaken. Have you heard this too?

Ok, I accidentally used my boyfriend's toothbrush today and threw both his and mine away thinking I'd go buy us new ones. Well my car took a crap today, and I forgot about it, and I can't drive my bf's stick to go buy us new toothbrushes and he's long asleep and won't go buy us any. So what is the best way to clean our teeth tomorrow morning without a toothbrush? (he won't have time before work to buy any) I have toothpaste, floss and listerine.

When I bite down on things using the right side of my mouth, the bottom molar gives me basically a shocking pain, like someone touched a nerve(only on harder foods) . I really don't understand why, I'm 16, and I have dental sealant on that tooth. This has happened before on different teeth. Is there a reason why? Could it possibly be sensitive teeth?

I have had this problem for about 3-4 years now and no one has provided me with a solution. I have been to many doctors and specialists, nothing.

I seem to have a build up of pressure (maybe in my Eustachian Tubes) and every hour or so I have to to try and pop it by pushing down in front of my ear and opening my mouth(moving my jaw) forcefully until it eventually pops. After this until the pressure builds up again I can hear what sounds like small pieces of something moving between the jaw bones/ or perhaps my eustachian tubes.

there is no pain associated with this and so I am thinking it might not me TMJ, but do not know what else it might be.

any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes, when I least expect it, a small, painful transparent bump appears on the underside of my tounge. Hell, It's simple to pop but it secretes some kinda warm liquid i've never seen before. This happens frequently, and the liquid isn't blood! Help?

I only have the outer parts of a tooth, but no middle. Will they pull it? Or will they try and cap it anyway?

she brushes her teeth everyday, cavities were filled with fillings or she had a couple of teeth that were pulled. she uses mouth wash after brushing. if it is not cavities then what can it be? she floss sometimes but feels it really does not help.
