can someone tell me the steps and if it hurts. i have on tooth that sticks out and not enough room for all my teeth help my appointment is @ 8 am noooooo

I hate to tell you but yes, it hurts. It sucks. First they take some molds and measurements of your mouth, not too bad, but then when they actually start to glue the little things on your teeth that the wires and elastics attach to it gets a little annoying but all this is nothing compared to the full face headache that comes when they tighten or make adjustments to the tension or thickness of the wire. When I had them it would hurt for like a solid day and a half. Also you have to get used to eating etc. with them and how to chew your food without gouging the inside of your cheek or lips. And don't even think about boxing. you will tear every piece of skin there is out of the inside of your lip

I got my braces on 9 months ago. My teeth were pretty sore for the first few days after I got them put on. It's pretty uncomfortable when they put them on too. I would suggest taking a couple of Advil or ibuprofen 30 minutes before going to your appointment, then again when you're done. It will help a lot.

it doesn't hurt to get them on it's just uncomfortable, they're going to stick cotton everywhere in your mouth to keep your mouth dry and then they're going to clamp your mouth open and glue the braces on! The worst part comes after you leave the office, then it starts to hurt. But the actual installation of the braces is painless, just uncomfortable.

For awhile, use the wax they give you if you feel it rubbing inside your mouth, good luck its worth it. Braces on 2005 Off 2006

no....it dosen't....i've got dem...but u might get fever...but don worry...oh yeah u betta listen 2 wat i'm sayin....u c im an expert at da brce thin....got dem 4,i no its tooooooooooo long.but yeah i got dem 4 yrs ago...
