The pain will go away in a couple of days.

You could try taking ibuprofen or some other over the counter pain killers.

Did they tighten your braces the first time they put everything on? That is weird? We have done the braces thing three times and just getting them on didn't do anything to any of our kids. It was the tightening of them later visits that caused all the pain! I would suggest Tylenol PM if you really had to take something, but, I can't believe that the ortho is causing you so much pain the first day? If that is the case you better buy it by the case because it will be alot worse later on.

the feeling will be gone in a couple of days! think of the postive side of braces.. you'll have a really straight and nice smile. eat your favorite icecream to cheer yourself up.
