I was quoted $4500 by my orthodontist. I just want to make sure its a fair price. I am considering joining a dental discount plan if the price is too high.

My son needed to have a procedure done for his teeth because of cavities building up. His dentist proposed to do it in one setting, that is, putting him out, instead of doing it one at a time (which would require us to go back at least 4 times, that he might get traumatized with the experience). I understand the situation but my main concern is on putting him out. Is it safe for a 3 yr.old kid?

Due to my parents neglecting my teeth when I was little, about 2 years ago I had 2 molars removed on my lower jaw on each side. I was considering getting teeth implants but, the dentist said it would cost about $7,500! I'm 20 years and have no family or support. I'm barely saving money for college. The dentist did recommend seeing a Orthodontist and seeing if they can move my wisdom teeth forward to close that big gap. Thats what I'm hoping for. This dentist I've been seeing is making me feel discouraged and hopeless. Does anyone know if orthodontist have helped people like this?

I've begun getting extreme closed-in feelings when my current dentist is working on me, and he gets snippy with me and doesn't have any patience for my problem. I need to find a patient dentist and one that is also on my ERS list of dentists. I have claustrophobia.

Here is how I take care of my teeth.

Morning: Floss in between all my teeth, brush for 2 minutes, and then rinse with mouthwash for 1 minute.

Afternoon: Only brush for 2 minutes.

Night: Floss in between al of my teeth, brush for 2 minutes, and then rinse with mouthwash for 1 minute.

If I keep this up, will my teeth be in clean and good condition?

You always hear how 3 out of 4 dentists approve of a certain toothpaste or mouthwash.

Why is that 4th dentist ALWAYS acting like such a stuck-up?
