I was quoted $4500 by my orthodontist. I just want to make sure its a fair price. I am considering joining a dental discount plan if the price is too high.

the price is rigth if you live in the u.s or canada. but every dentis have there own process and depends the time that you are going to have the braces, normally you pay by month could be for 6, 12,18 24 or 48 months.

Do you have insurance? Insurance should pay $2000. My sister worked at a really good orthodontic place, so they gave me a huge discount. I ended up paying $1000 for braces.

Side note: Make sure you get a good orthodontist! Not just a general dentist. I went to cheap dentist first and they took 4 permanent teeth out which didn't need extracting.

That's a normal price for braces. It's alot, but worth it.

That is definately something you would need to talk to different dentist offices about. I'm sure you can find a few different prices and decide which one would be helpful to you.

I am sure you can get them cheaper......Remember there is a lot of follow up work with braces....He probably knows what his braces are worth!
